Akkanadu family has centuries of oldness and tradition and at the time of King’s rule it was the ministerial house. This great family gave birth to great Magicians, Upasakar, astrologers Sanskrit Scholars (like N.Raghava menon, Narayana menon etc) and great warriors.

The Prominent person among the predecessors of that great family is Devaki amma teacher who gives supervision to all the activities of kalari and temple. Respected Sri Vasudeva menon also gives guidance to the activities.

The August presence of 'Mahabhadrakali' the household deity of Akkanadan's family gives blessings and virtues to the kalari,the students and moreover to the whole humanity.The temple of Akkanadu which is situated in 'Kanni rasi' the kalari and the Elengi tree at the courtyard and the choral kavu and the pond behind it pouring to us spiritual feelings

There are Phanapanchaka Nagaraja, Triphana Nagayakshi,Akhil Sarpangal with adharma sarpangal are installed in Meenam rasi,Facing west, in the middle of the beautiful landscape of grove and pond.They are Dwelling here protecting the treasure,grain,money and matters.Upadevathas like Brahmarakshas,Yogeeswaran,Marutha Arukola (Veeramrithya Yodhav) are also installed inside the temple.
